The group of six geologists studies a glacier in the north of Iceland, the graduate student radiating with enthusiasm collecting data for future scientific work, and the director documentary film maker shooting the film about ice beauty joins them. The team settles down at the remote station where ice and soil tests in vicinities of gloomy caves are studied. In the first morning geologists disappear, having left not too skilled pair alone. At station interruptions in an electricity, in the sky begin there are mysterious flashes, the equipment knocks, communication vanishes, transport becomes unfit for use. When one of geologists comes back to camp mutilated, it becomes clear – people faced something terrible and mortally dangerous …
Except Russia the film was released in Iceland and Sweden, and in Hungary appeared at once on DVD
To put or not to put quotes round the word "something" in heading of this text – a question not idle. It is clear after all that the Scandinavian geologists, polar station, mysterious death, absence of communication with the outside world – all this huge hello to John Carpenter’s thriller (or Mattisa van Heynigen if suddenly you about a cinema learned only in 2011). Besides, after the first minutes of viewing very much it would be desirable to hope that the joint team of Icelanders and the Finns, created "Glacier", not only is familiar with fantasy classics, but also is able to use methods «Witches from Blair», and at the same time is disturbed by history of group of Dyatlov so popular now. Alas.
