On the eve of a New Year’s Eve girl Sascha is especially disobedient, she plays pranks and is capricious, while the father works the last day, mother with the grandmother prepare, and the grandfather sleeps. With peal of bells adults wish instead of Sascha the good girl, and their desire comes true – to the place of the girl her replacement comes, and Sascha goes to the Country of good children on "re-education". Here only life in this ideal world for it is absolutely intolerable, the child cannot take out such quantity of rules and orders. Sascha looks for the road from the Country of good children home, and her best friends a cat and a dog go on searches of the gone hostess.

Children’s cinema – one of the most difficult genres. In it the most inconceivable things should be combined: the morals should be combined with bright characters, the cinema should be dynamic, but clear, the grotesque and splendor of scenery and suits is welcomed, but thus by no means it is impossible to change and roll down in frank falseness. Children accurately feel the relation to as to the audience and approach to the cinema addressed to much more strict than adults. Unfortunately, the modern Russian cinema cannot brag of any considerable successes on a field of a children’s cinema if in animation of business are hopefully, in game cinema – full seams! Disney undertook children, but broke off teeth on «The book of masters», tried to expand Enjoy Movies audience, but "Karloson" underwent such obstruction that though cry, and «The real fairy tale» and «the Fairy tale. Is!» in general it is undesirable to remember in vain.
On such background one only Olga Kaptur’s attempt to leave in the field which has grown with weeds and to start it to cultivate is reputable. But whether there is something bigger in «The country of good children», rather than one only courage of attempt? Alas, to brag there is nothing.
First of all, "Country" – a picture extremely children’s, strangely enough it will sound. The Soviet classics and the Hollywood samples accustomed long ago to that the children’s cinema not so surely should work only for the main audience. Adults involved both actors, and impregnations of special humour, not always clear children’s audience, and sometimes with such fascinating plot of what the adult fighter or the thriller would be proud also. But "Country" to expand audience meaningly refuses such chance, from the first shots choosing deliberately lisping intonations. I am afraid, on a session of such film it will be not less boring for adults, than five years’ children on Scorsese’s "Turncoats".

Having rejected an "age" ballast «, the Fairy tale» does not trouble itself with actor’s works – performers of adult roles include a mode «morning performance in Theatre for Young Audience» and from actors at least the talented turn in insincere, boring, pressing laymans, as if the first time being in a shot. If it it is possible to forgive to Andrey Kaykov and Vyacheslav Manucharov – their telecreativity cunningly nearby, Natalia Seleznev, Vladimir Grammatikov, Dmitry Nazarov look in such situation quite ridiculously.
Not less sadly affairs with humour are. I, to my regret, watched the film in adult audience, and therefore I can not confirm with the facts absence or existence in a hall of spectator children’s laughter, but that children’s that I (hope) remained in me, to smile did not work never. All humour keeps within quite strained gags, with which difficult to make laugh even kindergarten. Without speaking about giving a gift to adults which kind 80 minutes will be compelled to be with children in a cinema hall. Unique hello – a hint of life, memoirs and acts of hero Manucharov on modern political life. And that, it is necessary to start missing very strongly to start to be engaged in such diggings in motives of the simple-minded character.
