The small town is shaken by terrible death – on a country road one of the best football players of local school was brought down, and the driver left, without having stopped. The brother of victim Ilay (Trautmann) is shaken happened and over time becomes absolutely inadequate – so, he argues that his brother will return soon from a next world on souls of five local children which allegedly killed him. School psychologist Jesse (Barton) leaves this five and Ilaya after lessons while her groom, the deputy sheriff Travis (Sava), checks its information, but soon within the precincts of school the first blood will spill.
In Hollywood the main thing – to be able to spin, and according to Jamie Kennedy it is visible that to spin it is able, as anybody another. Having begun career of that thought up to itself false agent Martie Powers on behalf of whom he sold the "client" beginning, but the promising actor (that is), Jamie received quite good start which then fixed success of the franchize "Shout" where played киногика Randi. All its attempts to leave in the highest league with leading roles steadily failed (and «The son of a mask» is considered one of the most unprofitable films for all history of Hollywood), but Kennedy did not lower a hand and created the production company on which now is a producer of films of the most different genres.
For Matt Orlando "Revival" became a debut – both scenary, and director’s
"Revival" – the first full-length horror of the company, and in it is unmistakably looked through a trace of same "Shout". The limited space, some characters, mysterious death – who behind all this costs, the dead person who has come back from a next world or someone from heroes solves thus the psychological problems? The director and screenwriter Matt Orlando, however, to hold an intrigue is not able – tightens an exposition, too persistently tries to palm off on us false threads, and in addition also swindles, leaving gaping tears in a plot (the cleaner? the blood-stained pig on the road?).
The film is devoted to Michael Clark Duncan’s memory – it is considered that here he played the last movie part
There is nothing to brag to "Revival" and in respect of actor’s game. Yes, it is pleasant to see again on the big screen of Devon Sava ("Destination"), but years did not do it good – for some reason it desperately changes. Changes also J. Michael Trautmann as Ilaya (imagine such Donnie Darko from Theatre for Young Audience) while Mischa Barton, on the contrary, strongly underacts – on an exit turns out the fable screen version about a swan, a cancer and a pike.
